Why Most Women Choose The Bad Boy Over The Nice guy

SCARED OF BOREDOM:

Another reason why women like to date the bad boy is that they are not boring. Nobody likes being bored, it doesn’t matter if you’re a man or woman boredom is just an unpleasant thing to feel.

Now as a man, having a boring partner doesn’t seem to be such a big deal because we can create our own excitement. We’d go out there and go invent something, we’ll start a band, start a business, do menial jobs, watch football matches as well as play football matches, play video games, etc. Whatever it is, you’re not going to stop a man from getting his own fix of adrenaline.

While all those things come with a certain amount of drama and excitement we are still ultimately in control and like that. We don’t really want our home lives or partner to be a source of drama. No guy wants to date a drama queen, because we’re not in control of that and that’s stressful. If you look at all the weird activities that humans engage in, most of the really weird things are been done by men and I subtly think this is because women do not really feel as empowered as men do, to go out there and create this kind of interest in themselves. Although it’s important to note how the narrative is gradually changing within the last decade, the average woman is not just interested in the same things that men are. Puzzles and stuff like that aren’t going to capture their attention. What women like are emotions and relationships. Plus women love gossip way more than men do.

“Did you hear this person cheated on this person”?

“Did you see that this person got fat”?

Whatever it is, all the shock, outrage, and emotions that it generates; women like it.

I think that there’s a case to be made: this surge of online activism that we see from women is just a fight against boredom. They want something to do, they want to find an enemy out there that they can attack. I think this desire to not be bored is also why women seem to like soap operas and reality television because sometimes the fights you see on reality TV are so annoying, but at least they are not bored.

That’s the appeal of the bad boy. He’s not boring, you don’t know if he’s going to be nice to you one day or next. You don’t know if he’s going to call you when he says he will. He is unpredictable, life is always on the edge and you don’t know what’s going to happen next.

You might cry, or have fights, or worse still you might be frustrated but you’re not bored.
